Want to live where you work? Many homeowners have embraced the idea of a home office, but what if you need to meet with clients or work with customers? That's where a Live-Work Loft or condo works well. Often, these lofts feature retail or office space on the ground level and a kitchen and bathroom plus open living space either upstairs or directly behind. Luckily, San Diego builders have come to the rescue with some lofts or condos for sale that have a office or retail component.
Located along the Gaslamp Quarter on the western edge of East Village, The Lofts at 777 6th offer two-story, ground floor, live-work lofts or single story options with elevated bedrooms behind the kitchens.

San Diego is one of a handful of cities that currently embraces the concept of Smart Growth. It’s a theory which creates a close tie between where people live and work. Downtown San Diego's Smart Corner is a development that is worth a look for those interested in a combination of living-where-you-work options. Smart Corner combines residential living, office and retail space, and a San Diego trolley stop all in one city block. Though not technically a live-work condo development, the developers have developed the "live" and the "work" in close proximity to each other. This mixed-use condominium high-rise offers “SmartLofts,” which allow homebuyers to design the material and placement of their walls. Located on the edge of the Core District and upper East Village, the triangular tower offers spectacular views of downtown, San Diego Bay, and Balboa Park.
Live-work lofts and condos in San Diego don't come up for sale very often. Contact us early to represent you so that we can find the right condo or loft that fits.
