News > Where Are Most of the Beach Condos in the San Diego Area?

San Diego's expansive coastline is home to many beach communities. But it’s not easy to find a place with front and center views as well as close proximity to the water. When it comes to the beach town with the most options for a truly coastal living experience, Coronado takes the cake.

The largest concentration of highrises is Coronado Shores,  situated on a narrow strip of beach between the Pacific Ocean and Glorietta Bay.  Residents are steps from the  beach and bay and many condos have views of both. The El Mirador Tower is one such high rise that features floor to ceiling windows to maximize the view.

The La Princesa highrise, another gem in Coronado Shores, is characterized by open floor plans and Glorietta Bay and Downtown skyline views. Residents at El Camino Tower enjoy the amenities of Coronado Shores and have a quick walk to Silver Strand Beach. Residents can return home with their feet still sandy to enjoy cocktails and fabulous ocean sunset views.

Coronado Shores provides an array of amenities and services. The health club provides exercise and weightlifting equipment as well as a spa, sauna and locker rooms. The beach club provides an ocean view pool and lounge area as well as an ocean view bar and dining room. Roeder Pavilion is a lighthouse inspired entertainment venue with views of Silver Strand Beach.

But there's more to Coronado Island than just the beach or the facilities associated with the high rise communities.  The historic Hotel Del Coronado is home to signature restaurants such as Sheerwater and ENO Pizzeria and Wine Bar, and also hosts a lavish Sunday Brunch in its Crown Room that features regional and international cuisine as well as a gourmet Bloody Mary bar.

Coronado Ferry Landing is home to shops, art galleries, restaurants and the weekly farmer's market.  Or grab some clubs and head over to the Coronado Golf Course, a 72 par municipal course that originally opened in 1957. The course is also home to the Coronado Bayside Grill that offers locally sourced cuisine served amidst views of the course and San Diego Bay.

It's hard to tire of the activities and amenities of the island itself. However, those seeking a day on the mainland are only a short trip over the Coronado Bridge to downtown San Diego. Coronado also offers ferry service to Downtown, making it easy to explore the restaurants and shops of the Gaslamp or spend an afternoon at Petco Park.

Coronado Island offers a variety of activities and opportunities to live the quintessential San Diego lifestyle. For a full list of great places to on this "island", check out our Coronado condos page.
